What happens after you order
You take the sample. We handle the lab work and analysis. Then the results are yours to act on and track.
Order your kit and take your sample at home
Your kit arrives with everything you need:
- A collection tube with preservation liquid
- A swab
- Step-by-step collection instructions
- A prepaid, addressed return mailer (postage paid from the UK, USA and Canada)
Register your kit online, then post your sample back in the mailer. Returns are free and tracked from the US, UK, Canada and South Africa. In South Africa, we send you a return label when you’re ready.

Our lab analyses it
Your sample goes to our US CLIA lab. We then compare what we find with tens of thousands of real samples, so you see where you sit compared with others.
47 key bacteria and 18 functional markers, in one report.
Results are usually ready 1–2 weeks after we receive your sample in the US, Canada and international markets, and 2–3 weeks in the UK and EU, where we batch samples and send them on to our US lab. South African samples are sent on once a month, so results take 2–6 weeks.

How long do results take?
From when we receive your sample: usually 1–2 weeks in the US, Canada and other international markets, 2–3 weeks in the UK and EU, where samples are batched and sent on to our US lab, and 2–6 weeks in South Africa, where samples are sent on once a month.
